Though not the most well-known maker of classic ukes, Columbia did a lot of things right: this fine little soprano instrument, made of pretty chocolate koa, features one-piece sides, an inlaid wood rosette, and an extra brace behind the bridge to prevent top warpage. The neck is constructed of three pieces, with a center strip for extra stability and support.
One replaced wood friction tuner, three stable top cracks, otherwise very good condition. If you have a problem with anything on the instrument, take it up with Columbia, since the label proudly proclaims that the “Material and Work are Guaranteed.”
Ships in a new violin case with a cool interior in a hue somewhere between baby blue and steel blue. That detail doesn’t affec the tone, but it sure looks cool! $250
