If you’ve ever considered taking up the non-pedal steel guitar, this would be the ideal instrument to start with. Alternately, if you already play the lap steel, but have longed for the opportunity to expand your tonal palette to encompass extended chords or bar slants on a longer-scaled instrument, there’s no better choice than this cool late ‘50s Fender Deluxe-8 Stringmaster. Two counterbalanced pickups wound to produce a humbucking effect. Blend control to balance the output of each pickup in order to achieve those wonderfully rubbery yet still burly bass tones, as well as ringing chords and zingy highs. Minor and subtle professional touchup to old bar dings on the body, else all original. Comes with an equally gorgeous original brown case, all three original legs, and even the original hangtag. Sorry, the rare and valuable first-edition copy of Thomas Cobb's novel Crazy Heart (the basis for the current Jeff Bridges movie) is not included, but we recommend it highly. (The movie is good too.) An excellent instrument for the discerning player, and it can be yours for only SOLD! Thanks, Bryan!
