If it is true, as the philosophers say, that the point of life is to strip away redundancies, leaving only irreducible essences, then the essence of this mandolin could best be described as primitive cool.

Maple body. Four-on-a-strip Kluson Deluxe tuners topped with ivoroid buttons, soapbar pickup, and cast aluminum bridge that looks very much like it might have originated in the workshop of Paul Bigsby.

This is one of the best sounding electric mandolins we have ever encountered. The afore-mentioned soapbar pickup produces tones that are robust, bright, and cutting, all of which makes it ideal for use in western swing, country, or rock settings. Plus, no feedback issues.

Ships in an equally cool original tweed luggage linen-covered case with one non-functioning clasp. Original case key included at no extra charge. $1400
