Proudly bearing a vintage “The Gibson” logo that was no longer used after the mid-1930s, this all-mahogany Depression-era beauty has a triple-bound body, rope rosette inlay, and original tuners. It has one top crack and two back cracks, all stable, and ships in a newer softshell padded violin case. Although none of us are exactly a threat to ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimbukuro, we had great fun playing this little guy, which sounds exactly like we'd expect a high-quality pre=ware uke to sound. In fact, it’s hard not to smile when you’re strumming this friendly and inviting instrument. Sold!
