Old Kraftsman was a Spiegel Catalogue brand with a number of very cool instruments actually made by a variety of builders. Some of their 1930's banjos were made by Gibson. By the time this one came along, around the late '40s or early '50s, they were mostly being made by Kay. This particularly sweet-sounding example has survived to be more than 60 years old with only a bit of cosmetic damage: chips, dings, and oxidized metal. At some point in its life, the original tuners were replaced with '70s-style guitar tuners. The comfortable deep C neck contributes to a very playable and affordable vintage piece. There is minor wear on the first few frets, but not enough to be any kind of problem for many years to come.

Banjo is in overall good condition and ships in a padded Kaces guitar gig bag. $225
