Today’s student guitars are about as exciting as an 8th grade sex ed. lecture. You know what we mean—would any self-respecting rocker above the age of 14 be caught on-stage wielding a recent model guitar obtained at a big box store?

By contrast, take a look at this rare Airline-branded Bobcat, a student guitar from the mid-1960s. It combines a massive (but comfortable!) neck with a maple body. The tonefulness is further enhanced with a very cool “diamond cutout” DeArmond pickup. Combine all of the elements above, and what we have here is a seriously habit-forming instrument.
Overall, the condition is very good. Heck, even the plastic trussrod cover is unbroken, which is pretty rare on vintage Harmony guitars. There is some wear on the edges (see photos), yet virtually no fretwear.

Ships in a recent gigbag. $650
