Pairing nicely understated rosewood back and sides with a spruce top, as well as wooden binding and purfling, this high-quality instrument was handmade in Spain and is notable for its mature tone, outstanding clarity and almost vocal-like articulation. Although our classical guitar skills are limited (and notably rusty, at that), we played through a few of Giuliani’s right-hand studies, a Bach etude, and as much of Mason Williams’ “Classical Gas,” as we could remember (and boy, does this instrument ring on that last number’s famous wide-open Em chord! Boy howdy! More seriously, this would be an ideal instrument for a serious student of classical guitar or a more experienced player who wants to let out his inner Christopher Parkening (or Yngwie, for that matter!). One ding on back of neck at 8th fret, else very good condition. Ships in a newer hardshell case. $450
