From the celebrated FujiGen factory to you, this verging-on-vintage plank is all original except for a replacement backplate and tremolo arm. The Japanese guitars from this era are very well made. Our first impression was that this is an addictive instrument, with a great neck profile that immediately fits the hand like a pair of thousand-times-washed Levi's; subsequent sessions have only deepened our appreciation. Unplugged, this guitar yields a loud and burly peal. Plugged in, it’s equally bold, producing glassy highs, meaty mids, and sculpted lows. Minor pick swirls on the pickguard and a few superficial scratches on the finish, else very good. The frets were recently dressed by our very own Steve and are now ready for years of playing pleasure. As we all know, rosewood board Strats are usually darker sounding than their maple-neck counterparts. This example is also a little warmer, which results in a great tone that combines bite and body in just the right measures. In other words, you won’t go wrong with this guitar. With padded Kaces brand gigbag. 8/10. SOLD!
