First, let’s get one thing out of the way—this is not the ideal instrument for slapping or pounding out fierce down-tuned heavy metal. Rather, this Japanese bass is perfect for plunking old R & B standards, roots-rock, or blues—anything where it’s equally as important to feel the note as to hear it. Given its light weight and slim neck, this is also a great choice for a guitarist who dabbles on bass or a player with smaller hands.
The short-scale neck and mahogany body lend a bit of darkness to the tone that is offset to a certain extent by the bolt-on neck design. Given the clear Gibson influence, it will probably come as no surprise that the two stock pickups are capable of producing a rumble that will remind you of glass-pack mufflers on an idling Chevy, but with the right tone settings dialed in, they also can emit surprising sparkle and definition, particularly in the upper registers.
Missing the bridge cover, else entirely original. Includes original hardshell case. 8.5/10 condition, with no breaks and only minor evidence of playwear. SOLD!
