This cool single-neck instrument is all original, with the exception of a set of knee levers installed by the original owner, who spent years playing hard-core country (think Buck Owens and Merle Haggard, most definitely not today’s “hat acts”) in bowling alleys, bars, and civic centers across the Southwest. The Model 800 sports 10 strings and a double-raise, double-lower cable system. Purchased from the son of the instrument’s one and only owner, this fine example includes the original Fender case. Remarkably, despite its many years of service in smoke-filled caverns, it still sports a remarkably bright sunburst finish. SOLD. Thanks, Bob!
