Yet another little dog that thinks it’s a big dog, this LG-1 exhibits the characteristics that make this model a favorite of many fingerstyle blues and ragtime guitarists. This is also one of the loudest LG models we have encountered. Perhaps because this particular instrument has clearly been played, it’s unusually lively and resonant in all registers. Unlike many of the ladder-braced Gibsons from this era, this guitar has an immediacy and snap in the bass frequencies, as well as impressive clarity and separation between notes in the treble register. Replaced bridge. Professionally removed pickguard. Plugged hole from removed “tone-killing” bridge visible on top. Some weather checking on top, but the back and sides are in very good condition. No cracks. Comes in a non-original chipboard case. A great player's guitar at the right price. Sold! Thanks Shelley!
