One of the last of the New York-made Epiphones, this example is in excellent all-original condition, with the exception of a professionally installed Gibson “finger” style tailpiece (the original Epiphone tailpieces typically broke at the right angle). Slight seam separation on back professionally repaired, otherwise no issues. The binding is in good shape, the pickguard is crack-free, the frets are still excellent, and the finish remains bright and virtually unmarred. Purchased from the retirement-age son of the original owner, who stated that his father “very occasionally” pulled this exceptionally fine instrument out to strum a few chords before promptly returning it to its case. With original caramel-colored case. 9/10. Sold!
